Carol started pottery as a hobby in the 1970’s whilst living in Geraldton, WA. Carol was drawn to the tactile experience and became “hooked” on clay. Relocating to Perth she continued her interest in ceramics and enrolled in classes at the Canning Art Group. As a mother, once her youngest child began school, Carol decided to enrol at Forrestfield TAFE to become more knowledgeable with clay. Carol joined the Guildford Village Potters in 1996 and began to exhibit and sell her work through the Gallery. Whilst most of her work is functional ware she also enjoys creating decorative pieces for exhibitions. Her work has been sold overseas with a special piece being bought for display at Boon Pottery in Singapore and other pieces going to New York and London. Carol has exhibited extensively and has received many awards for her stunning work.
