Originally from New Zealand Chris has lived in Perth WA since 1972. She originally worked as a dressmaker in Pastoral House, Perth. Chris has always had a creative interest, however it was by chance that she happened upon visiting the Guildford Village Potters with a friend and enquired about adult classes. She began evening classes and a few years later was asked to become a member of the Guildford Potters. After almost 17 years as a member of the co-operative, Chris still loves creating ceramic pieces, both hand built and wheel thrown, as well as applying alternative firing techniques such as Raku, Saggar and Pit firing.
